About
Chutney Stories was born from a simple idea—we want to share the essence of South Indian kitchens with Abu Dhabi. Our CS Family grew up surrounded by the aromas of freshly ground masala and enjoying the meal together as a family on a banana leaf and sharing food with neighbours! With a wealth of culinary experience and love for food memories at home, our chefs are here to pay homage to those traditions at your table. Each dish is made with a sense of respect for authenticity, preserving the flavors and culture of South India while embracing the cosmopolitan spirit of Abu Dhabi. Handmade Dosas
Our dosas are not just a breakfast staple; they symbolize hours of patience and precision, starting with the slow fermentation of the batter, not to mention the expertise of a good chef who can create a perfectly-spread golden and paper-thin dosa!

Imprinted Coffee Filter
No South Indian meal is complete without filter coffee. We brew the traditional way with an imprinted brass filter to allow the coffee decoction to drip down and create the strong, masala base of coffee. When poured with frothy milk, the filter coffee is a ritual, and a moment of pause, comfort and denying dehydration.

Slow Ground Spices
Instead of using packets of powder spices, we grind them in-house. This change preserves natural oils and depth of flavor, ensuring every dish has the punch of South Indian masalas. From fiery Andhra curries to milder Kerala stew, it is our spice blends that are the difference.
